The Spring 2025 season of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week is officially a-go, with Daniel Roseberry at Schiaparelli kicking off the fashion festivities with an almighty bang earlier today. At the Petit Palais, the American designer who joined Schiaparelli as creative director in 2019, continued to demonstrate his vision for the storied Paris-based fashion house. The surrealist-inspired collection boasted bold silhouettes and intricate ornate detailing. As a love letter to the art of haute couture, Roseberry took a deep dive into the history of couture, researching the work of Madame Grès and Azzedine Alaïa for a lineup of show-stopping Art Deco gowns and modernized silhouettes of the 1950s. The drama was undoubtedly in the dazzling details for the Schiaparelli Haute Couture Spring 2025 collection aptly titled “Icarus”.
